The most ironic thing about shutting off access to ‘unskilled workers’ is that the two sectors used to sell Brexit, the NHS and fishing, will both collapse without them
Fishing accounts for a fraction of 1% of GDP and 75% of that is not the romance of artisanal fishing nets but factory-led fish processing, which massively depends on EU workers.
