I find the Forward piece (not sharing so you won’t click, not worth it) really alarming because it promotes the Antisemitic trope of “dual loyalty” and enables neo-Nazis/woke antisemites to share it (from a Jewish newspaper!)

After all, there are way more antisemites than Jews.
(Also, Hatikvah is a Jewish fight song from 1877, long before it was the Israeli national anthem).

Hi, I’m Hen, an Israeli Jew of Color, not probably Sephardi, but actually. For @AOC to use ‘as a *probably* Sephardi Jew’ to defame Jews & Israel, proved that you have spent too much time with racist Jews like @IfNotNowOrg (which you referred to in the interview)& Neturi Karta.
No, @AOC, you can’t use your (‘probably’) Jew of Color identity only to weaponize it against the Jewish community. If you are not with us, supporting us & working with us, we do not need you to be our voice. We do not need you to use our pain to promote your anti-Zionist agenda.

Throughout Jewish history, the Jewish people have yearned for a return to Israel or Zion, our ancient Jewish homeland. Majority of the commandments in the Tanach relate to the Land of Israel. Even in exile, Jews continued to face Jerusalem when we pray.
Each year at the Passover Seder and at the conclusion of Yom Kippur, Jews proclaim “Next Year in Jerusalem.” At Jewish wedding ceremonies it is customary for the groom to break a glass and recite “If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget its cunning.”
These are merely a few examples that demonstrate how integral Zionism is to Jewish identity. Demanding that Jews renounce their support for Israel in order to be accepted to some social groups, is asking vast majority of Jews to disavow their Jewish identity.

On the 16th July 2019 Labour members and officers of Labour Friends of Israel brought disgrace on the Labour Party. A documentary that filmed by an undercover reporter was described as an #Antisemitic Trope.
LFI chose to make excuses or dismiss the content of the documentary as fabrication. They then appear to make a comment that is racist, with serious undertones. By highlight that the reporter was a #German national feigning guilt over the #Holocaust
I am surprised they did not just call him a #Nazi sympathiser. The title of the documentary is not #AntiSemitic Lobbying is a process were individuals or groups o influence the decisions of politicians. So the title is not a misnomer or antisemitic.

Starting at the very top with @JeremyCorbyn.

He infamously referred to #Hamas and #Hezbollah as "friends". Both organisations call for the extermination of #Israel, and regularly carry out attacks against #Jews. They're also both officially classified as #terrorist groups.
Perhaps the most well-known incident is #Corbyn's attendance at a wreath-laying ceremony in Tunisia in 2014, which honoured the terrorists who murdered 11 #Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics. Mr Corbyn claimed to be "present but not involved".

[Thread] Based on recent discussions with @SamuelSokol, @TarikCyrilAmar, and @AuschwitzMuseum over the continued debates regarding the "naming" of concentration camps in Poland, I've decided it's time for a thread, b/c this is not about history but the present in Poland.
What has many Poles (and state-run museums) up in arms, is ANY connection of the word "Poland" with Holocaust sites (and more broadly behavior- hence the "correction" above.) They particularly rail against the term "Polish" death or concentration camps. edition.cnn.com/2018/02/01/eur…
The argument is that Poles did not establish or run these camps...which is absolutely correct. But the problem is, no one really thinks Poles built Auschwitz, etc. Sure, there are ignorant people out there or some students, but I defy you to find a scholar making this argument.
