Video shows how Chennai Corporation threatens Whistleblowers. Officials fabricating and creating records as thou notice is served to the residence of the contractor Whistleblower Chandrabose. He is a witness in Arappor's complaints and this is a blatant effort to threaten him
This is the same person who released the earlier video in madhavaram zone on jan 31 showing that goondas are placed before tender boxes and contractors not being allowed to participate and how tenders are prefixed by Corporation officials.
He has also been voicing on the néed to do away with such goonda practices by bringing about the deposit payments online. The Corporation officials including the commissioner are dead against it as it would take away their ability to prefix tenders at will.
He is also an important evidence in Arappor's case where in he has appeared before dvac and has given statements. He is being threatened continuously to not be a witness. To teach him a lesson, Corporation officials send him 3 notices in one envelope that he gets on 6th feb
The envelope has 3 notices - deoccupation notice dated 4/2/2020, lock and seal and demolition notice dated 29/1/2019 and call for plan notice dated 8/1/2019. The notice asked him to vacate his house in 15 days saying his house was constructed without a plan.
He has a valid plan and his house was constructed 17 yrs back. Without serving the call for plan last year they straight away give all 3 ntocies at once now. To create record that the earlier dated notice were served on him, officials did this act at this residence on feb 4.
They didn't realise their act of fraud was caught on the CCTV camera. Madras HC has given a interim stay on these notices. This shameful Act of Chennai Corporation is to silence him. Let us spread this far and wide.
The Whistleblower has written to DVAC seeking protection and action against officials. Only all of us can ensure protection for such Whistleblowers by taking this far and wide and pressurize DVAC and @chennaicorp Commissioner to act
