@BudgetHawks For instance, using Sanders' own numbers (explaining where he'll get the $$), his Med-for-All falls $11.5 TRILLION SHORT.

Again, those are using his numbers, according to @BudgetHawks
@BudgetHawks This is despite very substantial tax increases at all income levels, including 70% and up rates for the richest and 50% further down the scale.

Hannity knew it was a misleading comparison because the night before on his program Dr. Anthony Fauci,
director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told him that the coronavirus is at least 10-times more lethal than influenza.

We've got a thing set up to anticipate how bounces from early states will affect national polls. Here's what it says the polls would look like nationally if all candidates exactly hit their current IA polls with Buttigieg winning IA

Biden—21%
Buttigieg—21%
Sanders—15%
Warren—13%
Just for fun, here's what it says what national polls look like post Iowa if Bernie wins Iowa with 25% of the vote, followed by Buttigieg (22%), Biden (17%) and Warren (13%):

Sanders—27%
Biden— 21%
Warren—14%
Buttigieg—12%
Anyway, we'll talk more about this stuff later. But one basic intuition is that Biden would probably indeed prefer Buttigieg to win Iowa rather than Sanders/Warren, because Sanders/Warren are stronger nationally and would be more likely to knock Biden out of 1st after an IA win.

#democratic primary: It's 12/1 and just over 2 months to the IA caucuses. So what the heck is going on in this primary that's being conducted in the middle of a constitutional crisis? Well, the bottom line is that young voters are steadier in their preferences than older voters.
Taking @surveyusa polling from Aug-Nov, we see that the 18-34 vote has barely moved for Warren (-1), Pete (+1), Biden (+2) and Harris (-1). For Bernie, there was a big drop of -10 from Aug to Sept, but has since stabilized at 35, highest of any candidate in that demo.
Among 35-49 voters, since Aug, Liz is +2, Pete (0), Bernie (-1), Joe (-5) and Harris (-4). Among 50-64 voters: Warren (+2), Pete (0), Bernie (-1), Biden (-4), Harris (-5). Among 65+: Warren (-13), Pete (+7), Bernie (+2), Joe (-4), Harris (-5).

Critical point here is that the MSM is claiming that #Sanders "came within a handful of votes" of #HillaryClinton, when he lost in a landslide of 4M votes, 1k pledged delegates (not SDs) and a dozen states.

This false narrative harms #Sanders--it's meant to highlight how badly he's doing in 2020 and prop up #Biden. But Sanders is actually doing better than in 2016. There are just more players. And Biden is being replaced by a younger centrist, #Buttigieg.
