I’ve been hitting Sanders as hard as I could. The Sanders folks have given in kind. As voting commences today, I sense a stillness descending. What will be will be. We know each other’s strengths and weaknesses, and precious few conversions are still to be made.
I hope the stillness offers a moment for reflection on this: we must come together, one way or another, to crush Trump and Trumpism. I will not only vote for Sanders in the general, I’ll work for him. Our siblings in the Sanders camp will, largely, do the same for Biden.
With that in mind, I’m going to de-escalate. It’s time to take the heat out of the debate, and look for the common ground. There’s plenty. We differ more about ways and means than about ends. ALL of us must be in the fight this November. End.
