Albertans need to listen to Kenney. He’s announcing he’s going to double down and the impact will be further austerity cuts and tax relief for big business.
Following in screen shots is the most important sentence in his attached speech.

Continued stimulative tax relief and reduction of red tape to make Alberta the most competative in short to LONG term.
That’s more tax relief for big industries and possibly for small businesses in Alberta. So less tax revenue & further service/program cuts.

Reduction of red tape means deregulation. That translates to removing environmental & health/safety regulations that protect workers.
In order to “save” Alberta jobs and the economy, Kenney is willing to let businesses operate by reducing or eliminating their tax burden (i.e. low to absent taxes) to maximize their profits.
This action removes any responsibility for roads, infrastructure, policing, healthcare & education that are societal benefits to business owners, and places it onto wage earners. The average Albertan taxpayer.
Citizens’ tax burden increases as corporate taxes are lowered. Businesses get a free ride. The public pays more taxes for fewer or no services.

And he plans to make this long term. That means permanent.
We’ve already seen how Kenney and UCP have paid for the reduced tax burden in his $4.7B tax giveaway. He cut services to the most vulnerable.

Which means there will be more devastating cuts to more vulnerable people. In the middle of a health crisis.
That’s Kenney’s plan to save Alberta jobs & economy.

Reduced red tape means repeal of regulations that “impede” employers ability to profit.

Minimum wage, provision of sick days, safety/health regulations, overtime pay. That’s the “red tape” Kenney is referring to.
So not only does worker’s tax burden increase, regulations that protect workers and the public at large will be removed.

This translates to working for lower pay in less safe conditions to pay more in taxes for fewer services in the social safety net.
That’s Kenney’s plan. That’s what Jack Mintz will recommend. No need to pay an entire committee to recommend these policies.

This has always been the UCP plan. From day one.

UCP has spent the last 11 months destroying the foundations of the social safety net in Alberta.
These policies are intended to deliver a fatal blow to the social safety net and liberalist democracy.

Quite Machiavellian. Take from those in need to maximize profits for the wealthy. Permanently.
There is precedent for this policy. It’s the reason Louisiana is the poorest state in the US and has the worst outcomes of all 50 states.

Corporations are given a free ride. Exempted from tax burdens that ensure social/public programs are perpetually underfunded & ineffective.
Watch this video please. It’s 15 minutes of your time that will give you a glimpse into Alberta’s future, if we don’t push back NOW.

This is anarcho-capitalism. Paleolibertarianism. Corruption and greed.

This has always been the UCP plan.
Register your dissent now. Call your MLA. Write a letter to Kenney and UCP.

Protests are out of the question because of COVid-19.

Which means Albertans are vulnerable to UCP policies. We can’t protest. Bill 1 is about to be passed, to prevent future protests.
Act NOW or by the end of this calendar year, Alberta will be the Louisiana of Canada.
