I'm not suggesting conspiracy here. I'm just saying we're a society that has internalized that life must be earned by being profitable, and those who haven't earned life have obviously earned death.

Once you see that this is what our society believes, you see it everywhere, literally everywhere, from things people say directly to the way we design our park benches.
And, I think we can see, the party in power believes it all the way to its most extreme conclusions.

I think this virus is just exposing the extremity to which they believe it.
Not by conspiracy or grand design. Just that people, who think other people don't deserve to live, rather naturally make decisions that result in realities that serve as reflections of that belief.

They never even thought to care. The notion they should strikes them as offensive, and the exposure to public knowledge that they don't they experience as an unfair attack. Their instinct was to cover it up.
