The choice of a spouse is one of Life’s toughest decisions.

Who you choose to marry can either make or mar your future.

Don’t take it lightly.
As a mom of three sons, I not only pray for them to make the right choices of partners, but also earnestly praying for my would-be Daughters-in-Love to choose wisely.

When a couple choose each other well, they will love, cherish and build a purposeful future together.
No matter how much a couple love themselves, there will be times of turbulence on their Journey of Life.

It is a given. The odds will sometimes be stacked against everything you both imagined.

Guess what keeps you holding together?

The knowledge that you chose wisely.
Marriage was divinely designed to be beautiful.

On a day like this, when I end the day thinking of God’s kindness in my choice of spouse, may those who desire to marry, find the grace from above to make the right one.

I am quite surprised to see the reaction around here to the slump in oil price.

It was inevitable from the moment China — the world’s 2nd largest economy & 2nd largest consumer of oil in the world at more than 14%— was bugged down by #Covid19.

Mary was born Ida Cook (and we'll call her 'Ida' from now on) in Sunderland in 1904. Her parents were an average middle class couple, and Ida and her sister Louise had a sheltered, happy upbringing mostly in London (their mother was a proper 'Bow Bells' cockney).
One thing their parents were very good about was just letting the girls be themselves.

So let's say the Dems hold a vote to impeach...what are we looking at? There are two possible outcomes. Every Dem votes for impeachment or Pelosi "allows" some of her people in Trump districts to vote no. Either way it's a political mess.
If the former happens, it's seen as a partisan action and the Dems in those Trump districts will pay a heavy price come Nov 2020. If the latter happens it's seen as a bipartisan effort that is AGAINST impeachment and a core group of Dem Trump haters pushing the impeachment.
From a political POV if Pelosi pulls the trigger on impeachment it would be one of the worse Political decisions every done in modern times. It would make the Clinton impeachment look like a brilliant political move. Imagine impeachment winning by only 2 votes in the house?🙄🙄

1/ It’s simple to note: One has to subtract before adding. Give up what’s bad, before thinking about adding what’s good. True for habits, food, news and everything else.
#life 2/ We live in a world with many apparent "signals”.

We’re consuming:
- More info/news/entertainment
- More food
- More social networking
- More things to-do/work...

…than prior generations. It’s making us lazy and critically, disengaged.
#life 3/ It’s unclear what the signal to noise ratio is - it’s a function of one’s own consumption habits.

And separately, we’re prone to setting additional goals too:
- Read good books
- Eat a healthy diet
- Have fewer but better friends
- Work smart

1/ #MentalHealth #Suicide #ParentPerspective #TeenSuicidality Just hung up phone with a family member of a teen girl who is suicidal. It’s a parent’s worst nightmare & it evokes pure terror. No one talks about it and parents often have no literal idea what to do.
2/ This thread is simply parent to parent support I wish I’d had. I share with full permission of my kids who share the belief that we want to comfort others with the comfort God gave us. (2 Cor)
3/ First, parent, you will feel terrified. The most important thing is to project love & nurture like never before. UBER NURTURE. And, be CALM & CONFIDENT with your child. “Sweetheart, we’re going to get you the help you need & we’ll be right there with you all the way.”
