We are 2 decades into the 21st Century of disruptive technologies.
Countries are seriously harnessing the best minds to position well for the 4th & 5th Industrial Revolutions.

Cross River State overlooks an eminently competent woman as Chief Justice, because?
The irony in the Justice Ikpeme matter is that the Governor of Cross River State is a man with the title of Professor to his name.

Imagine how those fellows in the State’s House of Assembly failed to connect-the-dots in their gender-bias against an eminently qualified woman.
We the citizens are not yet ready.
When we are, we would stop these crass politicians who are determined to always drop public institutions to the lowest common denominator because of silly considerations.

Justice Ikpeme is a winner.
Cross River State lost. Yes, it lost big.

Change Pro-Tip: I sometimes will take an indiviual or group relationship of mine and ask for an explicit "reset". It's not a frequent solution, but when the circumstances are right, the rewards for doing it can be huge.
Early last year, I was in a wrangle with a person I've known for a few years. It wasn't a crisis, exactly, but it wasn't a happy or even neutral relationship. He called me, and as we spoke it became ever more clear to me that part of our problem was about our awkward history.
On instinct, during the call, I said, "Hey, ya know what? Let's reset this thing. Going forward, we'll let go of everything that's happened, direct or indirect, in our relationship over the years. No holding on to old glitches, no opinions of each other derived from 3rd parties.

We are a part of the top dark grey region consisting of 150 countries. Yes we are the largest in that perhaps.
#EV (2/n) In the US EVs cost more & will continue to do so for over half a decade than ICE. The battery cost when it drops as a % to car cost to 20% does EV make acquisition sense for a consumer(not including TCO).
How will this play out in India? How will v control r costs?
#EV (3/n) Incentives from a regulatory perspective will drive the initial thrust of EV adoption followed by economic sense in ownership. In India are we treading on the same path?

My Mom used to tell me about when she was a girl in the 1920s and 1930s. Sometimes, sickness would spread through her Saskatchewan town. Then there would be empty desks at school, and new graves in the churchyard. This was before vaccinations were available. 2/18
My Mom had Whooping Cough (Pertussis) herself when she was a child. She told me how exhausting and awful it was. She was so sick for so long. Wracked with coughs, unable to catch a breath, panicking... It is a very cruel disease. 3/18

Romance has always been about honoring and celebrating VERY liberal values. You do not win your HEA if you don't take a risk and open your heart to someone who starts out feeling very "other" to you. You do not win your HEA if you don't take a RISK.
Liberal = let me try this new thing/see what's over that mountain/welcome the stranger at the gate
Conservative = the old ways should not be changed/we're safer here in our cave/KEEP THAT GATE SECURELY LOCKED!! (don't let that stranger bring us disease, murder, unrest!)
Unrest being the most frightening to the people in power, who tend to become conservative in order to hold on to that power. (Change? What? Why? Never! It's all perfect exactly as it is!!) But now here's some pesky stranger at the gate, bringing in new spices and new stories.
