It's hard to go to sleep. We're in uncharted waters. In fact, the current circumstances are more disorienting than any I have experienced in my adult life--including 9/11 and the financial crisis in 2008. But I am confident we will make it through, learn and grow from it.
It won't be easy. But I sense from the way we are coming together despite the egregious failures of our would-be leaders in the White House, from the spirit of state and local leaders, the medical community, and citizens everywhere, that we will be all right.
There will be struggles. There will be conflicts. We will not be the same when this is done. But I deeply believe that come the end of this year, w/a new president & Congress about to take office, we will see this as a galvanizing moment, a course correction to a better future.
