The new rules went into effect on 3/13 at midnight...

I actually pulled data on 3/14; first day of travel restrictions.

This data is what’s called a ‘Lagging Indicator’ - the conditions showed in the data are indicative of past, not necessarily future.

At that time, I was remarking of the disparate death totals between NY & WA...

Both had similar total infections, but quite a bit more severity in WA, even if you remove the Nursing Home from the dataset, which was an anomaly of its own.
