Eerie similarities. Someone has done their homework well. Comparing COSTCO 2003 Annual Report Notes with 2017 DMART Annual Report
Was reading on Costco's business model. Have prepared firsthand notes from the annual reports since 1998. All years are not the same but in between the years they have explained interesting facts about the business. Read on the link below:

The company has explained its business model in a very simple manner in 2005. Attaching notes of the same for reference. Trying to find similarities between Indian retailers and foreign successful retailers
This so much different than the other businesses that are out there where the mantra is:
- Growth at all costs
- Growth 2.0
- Borrowing growth from future years by discounting today

Interestingly when current world turmoil ends some businesses will be much stronger than before

This one is interesting. While Neville Noronha admits that there is enough scope for multiple companies to grow in retail, Kishore Biyani of FRL wants to be the only company in organised retail in India.
