NEW: Who wants data? I got some new data from real time temperature readings. Not perfect but it tells us what’s happening.

This was the last data we had on the Tale of Two Cities. Santa Clara be Miami. (Sounds better than A Tale of Two Counties.) One with tight restrictions, one without.

What’s happened since?...2/
Since then the news looks better. People are getting it!
Let’s look at New York.

Rough situation but the leading indicators are pointing in the right direction. Will lag hospitalizations but this is good. 4/
We let too much time elapse and so some areas like Florida are already are in bad bad shape and the next months will be rough.

March 27 COVID Update: Coming after dinner.

A few gems today. Things I can happily reveal. Today is actually a lot about some of the best things we’re doing. The good news will lag what we see on TV. I was downbeat 2 weeks ago before most and am more upbeat today.1/
You’ve heard it 1000 times but it’s still true. It’s going to get worse before it gets better. It’s true no matter what because of the lag time between onset-symptoms-hospitalizations (almost a month), latent government action, and our lack of preparation. 2/
So when good things happen, it doesn’t meet what we see on TV. That’s why I’ve been trying to spend so much time on “leading indicators.”

But the signs of the future are there if you look. 3/

Update, the 50 ventilators are not coming through.

Last night I tweeted about hospital capacity issues out of concern expressed to me by someone involved. The hospital, facing a difficult situation many do, later spoke for themselves. I took down the tweet. But that’s not my only mistake. 1/
I apologized for the controversy. Now I’m apologizing for the tweet itself. It was a mistake.

But it would be a mistake to let my poor judgment obscure the concern. Hospitals are doing everything they can & a friend in the WH is working on it full time. 2/
We are also tracking what anticipated ventilator shortages are in each state. Working with FEMA we are launching a resource to locate vents & get as many as possible to where they need to be. 3/

Following Event 201 (Oct 18 2019), we must concede that the ruling class has been gifted with phenomenal and prophetic intuitions & insights. (They truly are the chosen ones.) Thus it is worthwhile, even mandatory, to study their scenario exercises & simulations.

Again, 88% of these accounts were hacked: old, inactive, weakly protected.
They could easily be frozen in bulk. 😐

Fresno City Council meeting April 4, 2019! Councilman Steve Brandau’s last Meeting before moving to Board of Supervisors. Council will have Special Election August 13 to fill his position. The Mayor’s gas tax ($172 million) allocation scheduled for today has already been called
“dead on arrival” and thus pulled. Other items to be considered : will allow employees to use Kaiser for health , BMG to provide emergency workplace loans for employees, Workshop on Recruiting a new Chief of Police, Councilman Paul Caprioglio to become Council President with
Brandau’s @stevebrandau resignation. Grizzly Fest is on the consent calendar. Doesn’t seem to be the raucous contention over that 2-day event happening at Woodward Park like last year’s Council meeting regarding it.

With the upcoming Neil-Gaiman-orchestrated "Dreaming" line at DC comics, I thought it might be time to revisit Neil Gaiman's wonderful "Sandman."

It's funny, I was just thinking today about the late sixties paranoia about cultural psychosis and insanity.

Modern pop culture is similarly fixated on the idea of insanity rippling through the popular unconscious.

"Legion", "Westworld", etc.

It's almost surprising that it took as long as it did for Gaiman to write for "Doctor Who."

Gaiman's abstract/symbolic cosmos is very much in keeping with Russell T. Davies' approach to concepts like "the Time War."
