This was at Genalyte, a SanDiego company which has been doing immunoassays on such chips for several years, now adapted to #COVID19 in past 2 weeks.

The number of proteins and antibodies that are assayed is pretty formidable including the #COVID19 spike peptide, the nuclear capsule (E coli and HEK), SARS, along with IgG and IgM antibodies. This can be displayed in real-time as the assays are in progress 3/x
My sample proved to be negative for both #COVID19 and any meaningful level of IgG or IgM. In contrast, here is another individual who had been symptomatic and had developed both IgG and IgM antibodies (cf control) 4/x
Genalyte has capacity to do up to 5,000 of these tests per day and their priority once they get going is for the #healthcare workforce 5/x
