My prediction from 9 days ago (left) was overly optimistic. The things China did that we aren’t doing:
- Protect healthcare workers with bunny suits + full PPE
- Stop all travel complete shutdown
- Sort people into quarantine centers. Separate sick from well.
- What else?

You’ll notice it has nothing to do with treatment.

Drugs touted as miracle cures or “better than nothing” will have zero impact on this disease.

Convalescent serum is not the solution. Nor is anti-malarial medicine. Even if any of it works, there is no industrial capacity for the amount of treatment that would be necessary.

This is all going to be over in 3 months.

Sick people must be separated from well.

Any success comes from stopping the spread of the disease. Public health. Controlling human movement and behavior.

Americans are misguided. There is not a solution you can buy. Any solution has to come from behavior.

The solution is something we do.

For once, self interest is not paramount.

Read these words: We have to do things to save our citizens.

We cannot save people by treating them.
We have to keep them from getting sick.

We have started. We have done about 1/2 of what needs to be done.
