Update on local patterns in COVID19 deaths.

Albany GA has highest metro death rate. New Orleans almost 2x New York.

Regression on deaths per capita now includes county average temperature and precipitation.

COVID19 deaths higher in places that are more dense, colder, and wetter. Higher where population is older, too.

Alright everyone who just bought a ton of groceries and might not be used to planning and prepping most meals: I shop and cook this way all the time.

Some personal tips for saving time, not wasting food, and not getting bored with home meals.

Cooked vegetables often stay longer than fresh. Cook down piles of sliced mushrooms, or greens, or onions, with some salt and olive oil. They'll stay good in your fridge for a week or two and can be used as ingredients in lots of things.

Freeze things. Chop up several bunches of scallions; chop up peeled garlic; chop up fresh hot peppers -- all these can go in freezer bags and then you take what you need.
Freeze broth, heavy cream, or coconut milk in ice cube trays so you have small amounts on hand.

Seen another way: relative to all other candidates, Biden's vote skews LEAST urban. Here's the correlation of each candidate's share with population density, at the county level

The initial gains in #flatteningthecurve have been reversed. From the last five days, India is back to a growth rate where confirmed cases double every 3 days.
Growth rate in last 5 days is 23.3% - so cases doubling every 3 days. Everything that we do as a country (and don’t) will impact this outbreak. Without the early travel bans and closures we would have a total > 5200 today. So #StayAtHome and #savelife 🤞🏽
Compound daily growth rate is inching higher - and stands at 13.25% (need to reverse this!). Hopefully the effect of #Lockdown21 will begin to show in 3/4 days. 🤞🏽

#NEW: Six new laws take effect in New York starting today:

*bail law enables individuals charged with misdemeanor & nonviolent felonies to avoid posting bail money in order to be freed while awaiting trial
*another law gives farm-workers the right to organize, collect overtime if they work more than 60 hours a week, & get a day off

*a minimum wage law raises pay to $15 an hour for all workers in New York City
*another new law will enable adoptees to obtain a certified birth certificate starting Jan. 15

*individuals 16 years or older are now allowed to preregister to vote

To establish whether unconscious bias is influencing my reading of the situation I'm using Twitter to search Jewish organisations for their posts on the following:

✅ Slavery

✅ Refugee

✅ Indigenous

✅ Racism

✅ Antiwhite

✅ Muslim

✅ Christian.

Will post findings.
First the unbiased truth. 😏

✅ Slavery was a world wide evil; all races traded and kept slaves.

✅ Many refugees are economic migrants. If they're genuine refugees they should return home as soon as possible.

✅Europeans are indigenous to Europe.

✅ Preference for your own race is natural. All races demonstrate it. Whites have lowest in-group preference.

✅ PoC and Jews are perpetrators of antiwhite hate at least as frequently as whites perpetrate racism.

✅ On a global level Christians are the most persecuted group.
