More #quarantinemusic, following through on my #QuarantineLife music and culture thread during #LuzonLockdown yesterday.

2. The Civic Orchestra of Philadelphia was due to celebrate its centennial with a concert. When canceled by #COVID19 the musicians recorded themselves singly to perform Tchaikovsky's 5th Symphony jointly; and commissioned new compositions. Amazing!
3. The Colorado Symphony started a very nice #PlayOn online series featuring its musicians. Here is a performance of an Aria from Bach's Goldberg Variations for Mandolin, Guitar, and Bass (April 1, 2020):
4. Colorado Symphony's #PlayOn series merged classical performers with pop music pieces, such as this quarantine recording of the symphony's horns playing "All By Myself" (March 25, 2020).
5. The Colorado Symphony's horns also did a joint #PlayOn online performance of "Don't Stand So Close To Me," March 20, 2020:
6. Non-traditional orchestras unable to perform also did joint online performances, such as Kaleidoscope Orchestra performing a version of Swedish House Mafia's "Don' You Worry Child." (March 24, 2020):
7. Talking about non-traditional orchestral renditions, there's a Gaga Symphony Orchestra and they did a quarantine collaboration too, of "Good Times." You're welcome. March 18, 2020:

30. Finally for today, the whole world is online and doing quarantine music. R. Suryaprakash has been doing Quarantine Carnatic Music; on Day 4 (March 29) he did "Nanmayum Selvamum" and "Saranam Saranam Raghu Rama," so beautiful.
