This thread is a list of nations that have vaccinated at least 70% of their populations, and how they're doing on a cases/deaths per day bases before and after during the #COVID19 #pandemic.

All vaccination rates are as of October 1, 2021.
All cases/deaths are as of October 20, 2021.

#Andorra has seen a 25.3% drop in cases and a 56.7% drop in mortality.

#Aruba has not reported a case or death before or after vaccination, but still vaccinated over 70% of its population.

#Belgium has seen a 14.2% increase in cases and a 59.9% decrease in mortality.

#Bermuda has not report any cases or deaths during the pandemic, but still vaccinated over 70% of its population.

#Bhutan has seen a 272.6% increase in cases and a 271.2% increase in COVID-19 mortality since starting its vaccination program.

Bonaire Sint Eustatius and Saba has not reported a case or death, but still chose to vaccinate over 70% of its population.

#Brazil has seen 84.1% more cases and 124.9% more deaths since starting its mass vaccination program.

#Cambodia has seen a 36700% explosion in cases and went from 0 deaths to nearly 2700 since starting its vaccination program.

#Canada has seen a 174.4% rise in cases and a 20.4% rise in death since starting its vaccination program.

The #CaymanIslands vaccinated over 80% of its population despite never reporting a case.

#Chile has seen 85.8% more cases and 34.8% greater COVID-19 mortality per day since starting its mass vaccination program.

#China claims 87.2% fewer cases and 99.6% fewer deaths per day from COVID-19 since starting its mass vaccination program.

#Cuba has seen 1661.2% more cases and 2315.2% more deaths per day from COVID-19 since starting its vaccination program.

#Denmark has seen 237.5% more cases and 116.3% more deaths since starting its mass vaccination program.

The #FaeroeIslands is yet another nation that vaccinated most of its population despite never reporting a case.

Weird?

#Finland has seen 271.6% more cases per day and 31.8% more deaths per day since starting its vaccination program.

#France has seen 99.9% more cases per day and 1.6% more deaths per day since starting its mass vaccination program.

#Gibraltar case and death statistics are null in OWID.

#Greenland has also reported 0 cases and deaths in OWID.

#Iceland reports 35.2% more cases and 84.8% fewer deaths per day since vaccinating. Very small death counts throughout the pandemic.

#Ireland reports increases of 296.9% cases and 55.5% deaths since starting its mass vaccination program.

#Italy reports 46.4% more cases and 6% fewer deaths since starting to vaccinate.

#Japan reports 394.3% more cases and 149.2% more deaths since starting its mass vaccination program.

#Malaysia reports 1121.3% more cases per day and 4197.1% more deaths per day since starting its mass vaccination program.

The #Maldives reports a 455.8% increase in cases per day and a 366.4% increase in deaths per day since starting its vaccination program.

#Malta reports a 63.9% increase in cases per day and a 6.6% increase in deaths per day since starting to vaccinate.

#TheNetherlands sees 61.5% more cases and 35.8% fewer deaths since starting its mass vaccination program.

#Norway has seen 252.8% more cases per day and 21.6% more deaths per day since starting its mass vaccination program.

#Portugal has seen cases per day and deaths per day go up 109.4% and 112.6% respectively since day 1 of vaccination.

#Qatar has seen a per day decline of 26.1% in cases, but a per day COVID-19 death increase of 83.4%.

#SouthKorea sees 393% more cases and 37.2% more deaths per day since starting to vaccinate most of its population.

#Spain has seen an increase of 85.3% in per day cases and a decrease of 15.8% in per day deaths since starting its mass vaccination program.

#Sweden has seen a 115% case increase and a 8.2% death decrease per day since starting its vaccination program.

The #UAE sees 189% more cases and 152% more deaths per day since starting its mass vaccination program.

The #UnitedKingdom sees 125% more cases and 8% fewer deaths since starting its mass vaccination program.

#Uraguay has seen a 781% increase in cases per day and a 1256% increase in deaths per day since the outset of their mass vaccination program.

After 45.8% of the global population was vaccinated by 10/1/2021, global cases per day are up 76.3% since the start of the pandemic and COVID-19 deaths are up 52.3%.

Strangely, and ahistorically, some nations have had three outbreaks in a year, veering outside of seasonal norms.
