Trump to pregnant military widow on slain husband: "He knew what he signed up for."

Detestable man. amp.local10.com/news/politics/…
Trump seems terrified by the concept of sacrifice. The idea that you'd risk yourself -- out of love, loyalty, or duty -- is alien to him.
There have been many critiques of Trump, but when Khizr Khan said "You have sacrificed nothing and no one," that cut to the core of him.
When he mocked McCain for being captured, I don't think the capture was what really bothered him. The willingness to risk capture did.
Trump was born rich and bailed out constantly by shady backers. He barely left his hometown. He thrived most in scripted reality. No risks.
When Trump said 30 years ago that he'd only run if he knew he'd win, it rings true. For all the chaos he causes, he needs that guarantee.
Being POTUS requires you sacrifice for this country. Trump cannot sacrifice for any reason. To him, the concept is abhorrent and terrifying.
But Trump is very willing to sacrifice others for his own purposes -- often for little more than sadistic pleasure, to prove that he can.
Human beings have little inherent value to him. If he senses he will have to make a personal sacrifice, he will sacrifice the world instead.
