Twitter has previously announced that today's the day they will start kicking off users who affiliate with groups that "promote violence against civilians." We'll see!

Twitter purge has kicked off. White nationalist Jared Taylor (@jartaylor) and his American Renaissance site (@amrenaissance) both banned
Naturally, they're already talking about it on Twitter rival Gab, which is a hive for white nationalist / alt right activity. Expect lots more of that today. 
Twitter purge has also hit Jayda Fransen, the Britain First leader whose anti-Muslim videos Trump retweeted recently (@jaydabf)

Latest Twitter purge suspensions: League of the South's Hunter Wallace (@occdissent), and the Traditionalist Workers Party (@tradworker). TWP was the organization co-founded by the neo-Nazi profiled in the NYT's "Nazi next door" story.

This random Gab user has a point — far-right leaders who don't get banned from Twitter might lose credibility with their followers.

New Twitter suspension: @nordicfrontier, the podcast of the far-right Nordic Resistance Movement, which just had 3 members jailed for bombing refugee shelters. Twitter purge going global.
Big one for the UK: far-right English Defence League (@edlofficialpage) suspended. Naturally, they're already regrouping on Gab.
Twitter purge looks to have expanded beyond far-right white groups. Several accounts associated with New Black Panther Party, including main acct @newblackpanthr1, are now suspended.
