Let the service (thread) commence...

Many confuse humility with not being able to wear fancy clothes or drive fancy cars. This is a falsehood.

Some of the wealthiest people are the most humble and the poorest the most brashly proud. #HotepChurch

Although one can exhibit humility by the way they dress or the lifestyle they lead, this is far from the end all be all of humility.

In fact, this can be just a way for many to feign or fake humility.

What does it mean to be humble?

Being humble has more to do with social interaction - how you view and treat people. Especially, when challenged by them.

Anyone can fake humble during times of least resistance. But can you perform humility when attacked or challenged?

That is the true test.

Being humble is to not see flaws in others but instead to see an incomplete masterpiece.

Humility, is a change in perspective.

In my experience, the times when I've been most arrogant, I've missed the most blessings - and the times I've been most humble, I've received the most blessings.

It seems as if God (infinite intelligence) rewards humility.

Arrogance blinds because you are looking inward during times when you could be looking outward.

Humility is the only true state of perception. Humility opens the proverbial "third eye".

Humility is NOT thinking less of yourself. It is thinking of yourself less.

How can we cultivate humility?
• Speak little of self
• Not managing others' affairs
• Accepting criticism with open arms
• Not judging others' mistakes
• Bearing insults with smiles
• Accept being forgotten and disliked
• Display kindness even under duress

I find that in moments of happiness I taper the feeling. Never overindulging. The same with moments of anger.

Humility isn't to ignore emotion. It is to avoid losing control to emotion.

Humility is probably the most difficult thing to master. It is also the only way people can become a true service to humanity.

Our times are filled with a lust for arrogance which is why our world is the way it is.

As a naturally gifted being. Naturally intelligent. Naturally intuitive. Naturally arrogant as a result - I struggle with humility.

In 2018, the goal is to master this skill.

Humility is not to relinquish your power but it is to harness it.
