If there were rational actors on the Republican side, here would be a possible way out of this mess for everyone involved with minimal pain if a substantive compromise can't be reached soon
1. Trump delays implementation of the EO rescinding DACA until next year.
2. The Democrats tentatively agree to support an some funding for the wall and border security already requested by DHS contingent upon enactment of a legislative fix for DACA.
3. This kicks the can down the road, but it protects the Dreamer looking down the barrel of deportation in 6 or so weeks.
4. We may be back at this next year, but the government is reopened and everyone can claim a win, the Dreamers are protected and no one has to vote for something before 2018 that is painful to the base.
