Question to Journalists: @nit_set @AnujSrivas @IndianExpress @the_hindu @thetribunechd

Why did @UIDAI not file an FIR on Airtel after they admitted "routing" 190 Crores, but filed it on @rachnakhaira?

Want to know the answers? The real one?

Wait till tomorrow. 😯
Answers:
1. @UIDAI still keeps a lot of it's data in the Airtel Data Centre in white field.
2. That makes the relationship b/w UIDAI and Airtel as Tenant and Landlord.
3. So Airtel's data center is crucial for UIDAI's continuing operations.
4. Hence no FIR.
5. It also makes the fine imposition on Airtel deeply suspicious because UIDAI keeps paying rent (or whatever) to Airtel.
6. Further UIDAI actually thinks that Airtel Whitefield Data Centre is part of it's organisation.
7. So they can't put FIR on themselves right?
8. So what are my Proofs?
9. Go to attendance.gov.in/reports/active… and look at it yourself.
10. Screenshots attached for your reference. See # 20 there? That is UIDAI saying Airtel Data center is it's office.
11. You can also see L1 In it. The list of employees that UIDAI employs indirectly far exceeds it's sanctioned strength.
12. So this also explains why it is a Shell. If everything is outsourced and there are so many entities it deals with, how can it take action?
13. So as a regulator of 1Billion+ data, UIDAI is deeply compromised. Who knows what security they have in each of these data centers?
14. Further Look at attendance.gov.in. It is operated by NIC. Again NO ENCRYPTION. This makes it trivial to snoop on passwords.
15. So anyone who use attendance.gov.in and typing passwords to know attendance details of any state/central govt. office in India, transmits them in PLAIN TEXT.
16. Now who wants to bet that these passwords are already *not known*?
17. Why are we even surprised?
18. It looks like NIC makes a career of putting up sites with no encryption. Remember NIC eHospital case? I am sure they have an App for Attendance which has the same vulnerabilities.
19. And there you have it.
play.google.com/store/apps/det…
20. Who wants to Reverse it? 😀
21. So that is the story. Just raw incompetence all around. And Aadhaar act is basically a means for UIDAI to protect itself and it's allies in it's war against privacy and citizen rights.

That is why @rachnakhaira gets an FIR and Airtel does not.
