Watching this @jeremycorbyn Brexit speech live (news.sky.com/watch-live) - all hot air. "Put people's living standards first" is impossible if Labour continues to back Brexit first. It will hammer the economy in every conceivable sense.
Commitment to supporting the Irish border/FTA - impossible without remaining in Single Market and Customs Union.
"We are an internationalist party" - which is why we're backing a mistaken move to cut ourselves off from our closest neighbours.
I know I keep tagging @Remain_Labour and @Labour4EU but seriously, how can you watch this speech and thing Corbyn, and therefore the whole of @UKLabour, is going to come around to oppose Labour?
More "jobs first Brexit", "working people first Brexit" nonsense. The very definition of oxymorons.
How can Corbyn stand there praising EU agencies and EU-wide internatonal construction chains, and still be backing Brexit?
"It makes no sense to abandon EU agencies", and suggests negotiations with individual agencies - what a waste of time. Why not bite the bullet and just say we're better off in the EU?
More talk of "a" customs union, rather than "the" customs union.
"Labour respects the result of the referendum and Britain is leaving the EU."

Labour Remainers - yer boy ain't coming around.
Other than a mention earlier of not pitting generations against each other, nothing from Corbyn so far on the fact that younger & future generations, such as @OFOCBrexit & @the75percent, don't want this at all.

Utter betrayal of his "youthquake" by Corbyn.
What a host of contradictory nonsense this all is.

-We respect the referendum result
-But the outcomes will be bad
-But we're leaving the EU
-But we want to stay within EU agencies
-But we'll leave
-But....
Making a case for immigration is good though, and long, LONG overdue.

Immigration is GOOD for the UK. More people need to speak up in defence of it.

Let's see if Corbyn goes the whole hog and unequivocally backs freedom of movement.
Corbyn: international cooperation good
Also Corbyn: brexit brexit brexit brexit brex...
All of this section - climate change, refugee crisis, humanitarian necessities - is all good. At our best, we should be addressing all these issues.

To beat that drum again though, Brexit will *consume* us, and rob us of any ability to work on these problems.
More actual Brexit stuff now. Corbyn trying to plug his Remain credentials. "I want to see close cooperation with Europe.... after Brexit".
"The EU is not the root of our problems, and leaving it will not solve our problems" - well, on that we can agree. The bit after? See previous three headdesk.gif posts.
That speech was all over the place. I guess the clear emphasis on customs, protecting Irish border, and immigrant rights, were good? But overall, Corbyn is still ignoring the Brexity elephant in the room.
Good - question regarding @OFOCBrexit and youth opposing Brexit. Maybe Corbyn will be forced to acknowledge the futility of pursuing Brexit when the future doesn't want it? Stay tuned to probably not find out!
Oh, no, he totally ignored the question. I am positively shook. Are you surprised, @OFOCBrexit?
Even other Labour MPs are calling out Corbyn's contradictory nonsense in this speech:
