The Omnibus looks like it won’t be released today and when it is, unless a lot of changes happen, there will be no ACA improvements.

The bipartisan effort at stabilization that began became a Republican ACA bill, backed by Trump, and with a lot of conservative poison pills.

Moving in the WH language to take anti-abortion laws and expanding them was a sure fire approach.
Remember it is already illegal to spend Federal $ on abortion. The ACA doesn’t. This goes further & Rs wouldn’t accept any compromise. 4/

There are more substantive effects in the partisan bill that are concerning— endorsing junk policies, increasing uninsured and raising costs for low ppl receiving a subsidy are a couple of concerns. 5/
There are good elements of the proposal: significant reinsurance and some proposals Senators Alexander and Murray forged.
To make the bill acceptable to the House/WH created a bill not about stabilizing the market. I hope that changes before ACA rates get filed. 6/
