Let's first demolish 2008 farm loan waiver claim

1. Total farm loan waiver of UPA for whole of India was 52,280 cr. 2 BJP states UP & MH have together waived more than 66k cr

2. Under 14 Fin Comm, K'taka has got more than 2 lakh cr. Why can't @siddaramaiah waive all farm loans?

Now, true to Congress style, even 2008 loan waiver a scam! CAG audit completely exposed it. The report said,
1. Over 13% of eligible farmers were denied benefits
2. Over 8% ineligible a/c were given full waiver
3. Over 32% of checked accounts had lapses in implementaion.

CAG sited proof of tampering, overwriting & alteration of records in large number of cases concerning the 2008 loan waiver!

To avoid such leakages, MH BJP CM wanted to digitize waiver disbursement.

But losing an opportunity to loot must've hurt Cong is why they are crying foul.

Let's look at UPA's other 'achievements' in farm welfare!

1. UPA extended 18.48 lakh cr institutional credit in its last 3 years, while first 3 years of BJP govt gave 27.2 lakh cr, a 47 % increase!

2. UPA's agri budget was 1.21 lakh Cr. BJP hiked it to 2.12 lakh Cr, a 75% hike

Cong big talk on farmers dont reflect in numbers:

1. UPA allotted 6182 cr for much needed Fasal Bima Yojana, PM Modi hiked it by 436% to 33,162 cr

2. Even in implementation BJP outperforms Cong. For ex, for last Rabi season, while MH enrolled >13 lakh farmers, KA had only 21298

Let us give more instance:

1. For micro irrigation, UPA spent only 3193 cr in 5 years. PM Modi raised it to 12,711 cr, a 298% increase.

2. For agricultural mechanization, UPA spent a meagre 254 cr. Under PM Modi it was raised to 2408 cr. A whopping 846 % increase!

UPA had alloted 162 cr for issuing Soil Health Cards. Under PM Modi, more than 1573 cr is alloted, an increase of 871 %

While PM Modi is empowering farmers, all that Cong can do is shed crocodile tears. Get a life, Congressis!

Cong' K'taka Irrigation Min spent his tenure doing two things:

1. Collecting kickbacks from irrigation tenders

2. Dividing the Veerashaiva- Lingayat community

Only if we had a Irrigation Min who was serious about his job, 3700+ wouldn't have ended their lives!
