For once in Missouri, we have a nearly united legislature, with both parties calling on Greitens to go.

Instead, Greitens is targeting the MO Attorney General and ignoring the will of representatives and citizens alike. He is a tyrant and he must be held accountable. #MOleg
What happens in Missouri often anticipates the political climate of the US. We are still the bellwether state, in the worst possible way.

Greitens is a microcosm of Trump and reflects a broader breakdown of institutions and accountability. The shamelessness should alarm you.

People who say "Don't impeach because it won't work" blow my mind. The government is shut down by a nuke-bearing sociopath who serves hostile states with a cabal of criminals whose policies include locking up kids in Texas border camps where they die.

How's that working out?
Will the Senate impeach Trump? Not likely. If Congress did impeach Trump, would he leave office? Nope!

Is starting impeachment the right move? YES. It forces hearings, which in turn changes expectations of accountability. It helps gives the public the information they deserve.
Part of the reason some people are reluctant to accept the sheer horrific scope of what the Trump admin does is lack of consequences. They think "If it's that bad -- if he's an asset, they're criminals -- surely someone would have stopped them!"

They didn't. But they must.
