Part of why Putin poisons and murders people is to discourage that kind of cooperation. But if she does, there’s gotta be a lot she could tell prosecutors.

I've absolutely contacted the journal and her university about provable errors in her study, including direct misrepresentation of my own work, and have made my position clear to them that in these instances a correction should be issued at a minimum.
If I didn't care about the research, I wouldn't be looking carefully at its claims, presenting extremely thorough evidence relevant to the claims being made, and suggesting how errors in the research could be corrected in order to make the research more factually sound.
I'll also add something that should be obvious: Scrutinizing the flaws in one paper by one person about this alleged phenomenon is not at all equivalent to trying to suppress research on that topic across the board. It's a matter of that one study having massive inadequacies.

There's one reason why the United States implemented the electoral college over a nationwide popular majority for President.

Slavery.

Slaves, obviously, couldn't vote. But they were counted as 3/5ths of a person in the Census, giving slave states more power in the House and EC.
The Southern slave states in 1790—two years after the ratification of the Constitution—actually had a *larger* total population than Northern states... but a third of the South's population were slaves and couldn't vote.
This current theory that the Electoral College was meant to protect "low population" states from "high population" states papers over the fact that the low *voting* population states were SLAVE STATES.
