Several weeks ago, I grew the balls to put my first type 1 diabetes patient on a low carb diet.
I now have transitioned several type 1 patient to a low carb diet w/ such amazing success.

Most recently, I had a patient that was taking a basal rate of 1.4 and corrections throughout the day with over 10 units of insulin at a time. Fear of hypoglycemia shook this patient to the core. In 2 weeks, she is down to basal of 0.4 and rarely corrects. Fear is gone.

In 2 weeks time, the patient has achieved better glucose control than ever before. She no longer has the fear of hypoglycemia because of how steady her glucose is. She is losing weight. She is $aving money $$$.... so happy for her. 🤔🤔
