In the few hours the tool was active, I didn't find any massive page claiming to be American that wasn't run from the US (though of course they are out there)

I checked dozens of massive Trump supporters' pages, some with hundreds of thousands of followers, all were listed as being run by people located in the US (more about what that means later). But this page with 16,000 followers is run from Kosovo facebook.com/2020Trump.Pres…
FB hasn't told us how they determine location for this, it looks like the tool appeared today as a test. But there would be multiple ways a profile running a page could try mask its true location. Could lie in FB bio + use VPN
"Proud Deplorables" -- again small following of 3,000 -- run from Israel, according to Facebook facebook.com/TheProudDeplor…

Hillary Clinton in 2020 -- managed from United States, Hungary and "2 other countries"
This Cherokee Nation page that claims it's based in Texas is run from Kosovo. it lists a US number on the page. I called it, it doesn't work. facebook.com/cherokeenation…

This massive page "Native American Proud" with more than 300,000 followers doesn't explicitly claim it's run from the US. Which is good, because it's run from Vietnam, according to Facebook. facebook.com/pg/native.amer…

In November 2017 I had an idea to produce a masterclass series that would be watched for free by all and paid for by brands that care about educating and enriching people’s lives. I didn’t know any brand that wanted to come on, I wasn’t even looking.
I just knew that if I concentrated on doing a world standard job, the work would speak for itself.

Listen, that was a bit Naive.

January 2018, I went on a limb and bought equipment for shoot: Cameras, lights, etc. I was ready but only two instructors had agreed to do it.

DMC retreated to areas with #YPG in this neighborhood. At this time inghimasi units appeared from tunnels behind and within the YPG positions. Because apparently no one had fully cleared the area. This caused a serious issue and caused YPG to retreat.

I was of two minds as to whether this awful piece of writing in the @WSJ about British Muslims should be given any attention. On balance, given the misleading propaganda therein, deliberately designed to play on anti-Muslim bigotry, in a dangerous climate, here goes: #Thread
From the outset: I take extremism seriously. I was deputy convenor of the UK's government task-force on the issue, published a book with Brookings on it, and was seconded to the Foreign Office's counter-terrorism analyst team. This piece was not even on the level of amateur hour.
More broadly on Muslim Britons, Muslim Europeans and multiculturalism - I've been writing about that for a decade, and wrote a book on it with Edinburgh University Press. I'm not trying to brag here. There are far better academics than I. But this piece ignores all real work.

2\ If we withhold information, 1 of 2 things might happen:

A) We don't delegate and end up doing things we shouldn't be doing because "my direct report doesn't know enough". We don't realize that we're making them not know enough and adding us more work that we could...
3\ ... use for doing other things that we should be doing.

B) We're making it harder for our direct reports to talk to other people directly to get shit done, and in turn, make them always come to us to know who to go to.
