The individual on the right-hand side in the Palestinian Islamic Jihad image is Ahmed Adel Mousa Al-Shaer, one of the Islamic Jihad terror operatives killed yesterday. He was sixteen years old. (see: bit.ly/2wOVjmy)
These are just the terror operatives identified thus far by Hamas and Islamic Jihad; Israel has announced that it has identified at least 24 of those killed yesterday at the Gaza-Israel border as terror operatives. More names and faces will emerge.

My thoughts on #Gaza (thread). The images and bare facts (dozens dead, thousands injured) are stark and, presented simply with that, I completely understand the tendency to condemn #Israel. It's not pretty. BUT context is important too. 1/7
1. A peaceful demonstration took place in Ramallah yesterday. There were no deaths or injuries. What is happening on Gaza's border is NOT that. If they had stood away from the border, chanted and waved flags, not a shot would have been fired. 2/7
2. ANY country whose border is attacked by a mass of people - some armed with guns, knives, IEDs etc - will defend that border. Even more so if that border is with a hostile entity. It is fair to question HOW, but absurd to deny Israel that right. 3/7

Thread: Observations on the MarchForReturn protest in #Gaza on Friday.
#Israel was aware that thousands were likely to attend the protest. The #IDF warned people to not breach the fence, and brought many soldiers to cover the border in case hundreds of people broke through.
The event cannot be simply characterised as either a "riot" or "peaceful protest". Apparently instigated by civilians, it was manipulated by #Hamas to enter the no-go zone adjacent to the border with Israel. Attending were peaceful civilians, violent rioters, and armed terrorists
