This is a far-reaching disaster. Domestically, from informants to cooperating witnesses to plea bargains to deals like DACA, internationally from intelligence sharing to trade deals to treaties. Why would anyone ever trust us again?
If our political system is not committed to continuity over partisanship (or perhaps more aptly, personality), we cannot be a reliable partner in any venture. Can we expect people to put their lives in our hands?
