My letter to the club - apologies for any typos or dodgy grammar!!
It is regret that I am writing to inform you that I would like cancel my membership above. I cannot continue with my membership if the club insists on being run in the way that is has been for several years now.

I have been supporting Hull City for the best part of 50 years with grandparents, parents, siblings, alone and with friends too numerous to mention in that time. I am therefore cancelling with a heavy heart.
I will continue to support Hull City Association Football Club and the Tigers even though I have never felt as detached from the club as I do now. This feeling has been building for a few years –nothing below should be a surprise, which means that your inaction and intransigence
....is even more disappointing.
The reasons for my cancellation are numerous but here are some examples:
•The whole Hull City Tigers / Hull Tigers issue and the club’s initial and on-going handling, treatment and apparent disdain of its fans and football authorities

•Concessions. Just re-introduce concessions for supporters with a disability, young adults, students, children (with no limit per adult and indeed, shouldn’t necessarily have to be bought with an adult ticket) the unemployed and older adults
•Supporters’ ballots. Two ballots so far on the latest ticketing options. Both unnecessary but at least show me some respect by publishing the results of the ballots

As a full paying adult who may not get to every game there is no harm in giving my pass to someone who would not otherwise have gone,spends money while in the ground&is more likely to comeback as a paying supporter.The measures for policing the ID cards just adds insult to injury
Radio Humberside. Their coverage has always been excellent,professional, balanced,informed and appropriately passionate. Viking is not. It is the opposite of these things and I don’t bother listening anymore. This all adds to my increasing ambivalence and feelings of detachment
As someone who attends only occasional away games then it is fair to expect high quality coverage of away games for those fans who can’t or don’t attend for whatever reason
Footballing matters.I'm a football and Hull City fan.I am not daft and don’t expect constant success and Premier League football.What I do expect is for the club to support its manager and existing playing staff with reasonable investment&timely pre-season planning &preparation.
The lack of these are the main reasons why we were relegated last season and failed so miserably this year too.Our recent footballing failures are not down to the normal ‘ebb and flow’ of success that a club like ours can expect. The club’s hierarchy are responsible
Closure of the West Stand Upper – at best clumsily handled. A false economy.
Apparent pettiness such as the removal of the council signs,closing of the walkway, steadfastly refusing to mention Hull City in the ground,website and social media until recently and is still not great

Everything is so complicated (WHY?) as exemplified in the latest club crest saga and ‘supporter engagement’
Also, next season, if I’m thinking about attending as a pay on the day supporter I will genuinely think twice on grounds of silly and over-pricing for these tickets,messing about on line or being unable to pay on the gate or at the ticket office
Social media. While I appreciate there is too much abuse on social media I try to remain polite with any comments and queries – NOT ONE query has EVER been responded to.

The “cut and paste” response that others who have cancelled their membership have received. This sums up nicely the Club’s attitude to its fans

1.Turnstiles are slow & cumbersome.Queues build up even with small attendances & the club haven’t seem bothered to resolve this
2.The toilets are dirty and smelly. Taps that have never worked properly still don’t.Hand towels run out.Bins overflow. All regardless of attendance

3.Refreshment outlets are understaffed, queues far too long, closed kiosks, unjust prices, terrible beer
4.Concourse TVs used to be a real plus.We now have a significantly reduced the numbers of smaller TVs (using many of them for above kiosk price lists it would seem)

5.Both the above lead to concourse congestion and bottle necks even with mediocre crowds
