Looking at antibody class switching.
1/ All B cells have the immunoglobulins IgM and IgD on their cell surface. The DNA contains both the information to create these two classes of immunoglobulins. They will be produced in equal amounts during the B cell development.
2/ Once a B cell is activated toward a pathogen, it will begin to secret immunoglobulins (antibodies) in the form of the IgM. This is the only thing it is able to create and secret at this point.

Los anticuerpos o inmunoglobulinas son producidos por los llamados linfocitos B. Estos son células que se generan en la médula ósea y tienen la capacidad de fabricar anticuerpos. Los anticuerpos son proteínas que se unen de forma específica a los patógenos y los bloquean.
Para que un anticuerpo se produzca tiene que existir un linfocito B que tenga un gen que codifique para ese anticuerpo con la secuencia exacta que haga que se una específicamente a su patógeno.

A primeira razão p/ ter em larga escala o teste da #PCR (do Inglês polymerase chain reaction test) é poder confirmar de imediato o diagnóstico de portadores de #COVID-19 É determinar quarentena, isolamento social e uma melhor observação evolutiva tanto do doente dos contactantes!
A outra razão importante sobre o #PCR é poder avaliar o material genético do #SARSCoV2 que está naquele momento circulando na comunidade e avaliar por exemplo a existência de mutações na região e/ou país.
