I've also previously explained (via @NBCNewsTHINK) why, where a sitting President is not entitled to absolute immunity, he can also probably be sued in _state_ court, which is where the @NewYorkStateAG has filed these claims:

In the @SummerZervos defamation case, a trial court agreed that @realDonaldTrump could be sued (in state court) back in March:

That ruling is currently on appeal to the New York Court of Appeals (the highest state court), which could rule any day now...
