Some news to announce that I’ve confirmed from two different sources: Semanal Media, the incompetent frauds that own Vichy LA Weekly, allegedly made a recent offer to buy the OC Weekly in cash. The offer was thankfully turned down, saving that paper from total ruin.

Why is this significant? It contradicts the shameful lie that Semanal Media gave when they bought LA Weekly.

They claimed that their lack of cash meant that they had to fire the entire staff. Now suddenly, with their paper still failing, they’re trying to buy another one w/cash?

A reminder that we still don’t know who actually owns LA Weekly. The crooked dork @briancalle claimed there were 12 owners when he bought it. They announced six of them. Who are the others? Where is this cash coming from? And why aren’t they spending anything on actual reporting?

So let’s get this straight: a bunch of de facto Republican operatives from OC bought LA’s most historically progressive paper & destroyed it. Now, they’re trying to do the same to the OC Weekly. We don’t know the real owners & they’re spending all cash. This is shady as all hell.

Yes, the whole country is in chaos but the dark forces that prop up Trump continue to do their best to destroy a strong healthy media in Southern California. Its important to remember to #BoycotLAWeekly
