Let's take a look at Politico's article from 6/29 about Obama's comments on the party

Well, besides the fact that half the party is frustrated that O's message of hope turned to nothing more than dust, the other half is bamboozled enough to still think he was something great. This is the half that still thinks the Dems are the good guys.

Glad to see he is kicking it with the people in the "lush backyard" of 2 megadonors but that last little tidbit shows you where the next paragraph is going. Good things, things that would help the ones that need help the most, are all magic and ponies to these people.

"Who needs inspiration to vote? Just get off your butts and do what's right and vote for the lesser evil, you bunch of lazy jerks."

Not to mention when your vote is cheated out from under you...but that is a WHOLE different story. "Just vote for who we tell you, OK?"

Yup, that is him almost accepting by shifting the blame once again to the voter because why would our politicians have to do their job and fight tooth and nail for the people they represent, therefore inspiring them to vote because we don't believe in inspiration, guys.

Funny you should bring up fear, Barry, because that is precisely what the Dems ran on in 2016 and it looks like that is their continued plan for the future. Great job, DNC.

Well, he did slip in one but probably only because it just happened and discussing regulations on guns was safe for this crowd.

Oh, Obama, yes, it has been one Duopoly for decades now (Since Lincoln actually). Glad you are catching up but seeing the world through a GOP donor's eyes or a Dem donors eyes isn't very different.

The GOP sans Trump is the brass ring for the Dems. That's what they aspire to. Don't talk about going to grassroots and actually working with the people. You know, like the campaign that just took out the most exalted Establishment Dems in one of their strongest territories.

Don't inspire. It works for the Republicans.
