This may turn out to be the key paragraph in the entire Mueller investigation. After having already broken in to the DNC computers, and after making contact with Trump campaign, the Russians break in one more time. Why? To get the party’s voter analytics. 1/ 
It is unlikely there would be anyone in the GRU, or even in all of Russia, who would know how to interpret and leverage that type of granular data. It’s only useful to a small number of people. People like Paul Manafort, Rick Gates, or Roger Stone 2/
Only people actively involved with the Trump campaign at the highest levels would know how to use Clinton’s analytics, and have the means to do so. To the GRU, that info is interesting, but beyond them - they’d never run an American political ground game. So why steal it? 3/
They didn’t leak it. Did they just sit on it? If so, why does Mueller bother to draw our attention to it? Unless they did the most logical thing with that data...give it to the Trump campaign. 4/
Occam’s Razor: GRU broke in a 2nd time specifically to get the analytics, after it was requested by Stone/Manafort. Once they had it they gave it to the Trump campaign who used it themselves *and* told the Russians how to use it to focus their own social media campaigns. 5/
This may become the very heart of the collusion accusations. And, judging from the President’s behaviour, at the very least, he became aware of this connection after the fact. More likely, he was at least aware those conversations as they were taking place. 6/
To sum up: that one para has made me far more willingly to believe there was active coordination between Trump’s campaign and Russian military intelligence. An utterly incredible sentence to write. But here we are... 8/8
