Just a small bit of personal news for your Thursday: imore.com/farewell-seren…
After four amazing years with the iMore crew, I’m going to be crewing with a new (equally amazing) team: @Apple and its communications team.

(Sappy thread incoming, so watch out.)
I am going to miss working with my @iMore friends more than I can possibly say, but I’m looking forward to reading all the spectacular work they’re going to put together. And in case you don’t know them, let me provide a quick introduction before I scoot out the door.
First up: @hellorousseau is a social media maven and has an undeniable gusto for gifs. Her iPhone photography skills are unmatched. You’ve likely seen her most often managing iMore’s Instagram channel, but she also writes ace how-tos and reviews.
Next, @LukeFilipowicz has become the master of mobile games and apps. He knows more tips, tricks, and hidden game gems than all of us combined, and I look forward to him letting me know about all the great titles coming up in the next few months.
Longtime writer @jkeller87 is steadfast, rock-solid, and smart as a whip: After several years of covering news for iMore, Android Central, and Windows Central, he’s now taken lead on how-tos and software updates. His quick-draw beta updates are legendary.
Our duty editor @mick_symons doesn’t get a ton of front-facing credit, but his keeping us typo-and contradiction-free has saved us from ruin more times than I can count. He’s also our lead for using devices cross-platform and a wonderfully-snarky reviewer.
And let’s talk about @mikahsargent for a second: This man has ineffable style and charm, and if you’ve ever watched him host the iMore Show and many of our short video and audio projects, you’ll know what I mean. He’s also a top-notch writer and editorialist, and a fellow 🐶 nut.
ALSO, bonus news: @mikahsargent is replacing me as @ismh’s co-host on @queryshow! Stephen and I have put a lot of love and labor into our little tech Q&A show since its inception last year at WWDC, and while I’m sad to leave it, I can’t think of a better replacement.
Next up: @Appaholik of the House Jameson, First of Her Name, the Unfazed, Queen of the Mac and the First Big Cat, Gil of the Great Golden State, Breaker of Mic Stands, and Mother of Dragons.
Lory has been my second-in-command behind the scenes for several years, and she’s now taking on a new role as iMore’s managing editor. She’s kept everything running smoothly for years — even when Rene and I would (frequently) dash off for some scheme or project.
You’re going to hear a lot more about @Appaholik in the coming months. She’s a brilliant writer, a witty wordsmith, and more organized than a phone book. I look forward to everyone getting to know her the way we all do. 💛
And now I have to try and type about @reneritchie without crying. He’s been a mentor and friend long before I started working at iMore, and I imagine both of those will persist long after.
Rene’s talent for analysis, writing, and (above all) compassion are unparalleled, and he’s taught me more than I can effectively state in a tweet. His work ethic is also beyond belief — Time Turners MUST exist, because I don’t see how he can do all he produces without one.
Thank you, @reneritchie, for everything you’ve taught me — including how to say goodbye. 💛

Finally, quick shout-out to the other amazing folks I’ve worked with at iMore over the years: @russellholly @journeydan @Asacco @rstevens @jessiechar @jmetzendorf @jsnell @mattcassinelli + way too much other talent to fit.

And the @_RelayFM crew. You know what you did. 💙
Okay, tweetsplosion over. Time to hop on the train for a new journey. See you around, friends. :)
