This is Lakaloko Primary School, Ovia South West LGA, Edo State. Built in the 50s, it is the only hope of education for pupils from 4 communities. Cracks in the walls, termite infestation of roofing wood, windows, door frame might lead to an eventual collapse of the building.
Out of the 2 existing structures in the school, only 1 of the classrooms is in use as the other has been in a state of disrepair for a long time. @GovernorObaseki
We call on the @EdoStateGovt to intervene before this become disastrous. Dear @GovernorObaseki we urge you to rebuild Lakaloko Primary school as the future of many young children is at stake.

In the 2018 budget, Edo state awarded
60 million naira (alongside other projects in other communities in the LG) for the construction of 6 nos. classroom block with office at Adolor Primary Sch
The new project is yet to start. Yet, there is a classroom project abandoned in Adolor Primary School. Construction work which started in 2016 has not only stopped but the building is now a death trap. Continue reading...

2007: Maj Gen Joseph Ayango #Aondo (rtd) was #killed in the federal capital, #Abuja, 14 June 2007. He had been chairman of the political campaign group, #Yar'Adua Associates, was seized at the entrance to his house, driven 5km on the Kubwa expressway, then shot dead in his car.
