Hard to impeach any president without having anywhere near enough votes for it in the HoR and even fewer votes for trial in the US Senate. Clinton's was impeached by a narrow margin on two votes (228-206, 221-212). Less likely Trump articles would get more than 100 votes now.
Bill Clinton's impeachment proceedings dealt with his perjury before a grand jury. Trump has not perjured himself to warrant anything similar. Articles of Impeachment for not liking a president won't get farther than 50-75 votes, all Democrats. Nowhere near 2/3 requirement.
Only accusations that can be leveled against Trump by Congress is that he may have a campaign finance violation, even that case isn't that strong, & that wouldn't warrant impeachment. If it did Democrats would've had to impeach Obama over his HUGE campaign finance violation in 08
Also, if campaign finance violations were worthy of impeachment, many members of Congress would have to step down because a LOT of campaigns get slapped with campaign finance violations or at least get accused of them, both Democrats & Republicans.
Campaign finance violations are not high crimes & misdemeanors or anything of the sort. Trump's personal sins of having two affairs (alleged) are between him, his family, & God. Same goes for the rest of the country, to include other politicians, Democrat & Republican.
Even if every single thing about paying off Daniels & McDougal turns out to be true, the payments were not made by campaign funds. John Edwards used $1 million in campaign funds to support his baby mama, even had an aide claim fatherhood of the child. ZERO convictions in his case
Anybody dreaming of impeachment of Trump over hush money paid to two women that Trump presumably had affairs with is deludingly hopeful and will likely be screaming at the sky once more once this hope faces the reality of Trump not being affected legally.
