Actually as 2008 wore on, AFTER she had been campaigning for over a year is when her numbers began to rise.

But, yeah, whatever.
And actually unwittibgly this tweet provides evidence of that,

"Hillary is popular until she decides she wants to become President."

Clinton is never in the background. People are always hearing her and about her.

If her ideas are good one day, but suddenly less the next?
Ceteris paribus the most logical explanation is not Hillary or her ideas, it's something else, being her control.

It's really not that complicated. How we got here and the things that happened to get us here may be complicated, but it doesn't take more than a kindergarten level education to understand the 'when all is said and done' reality.

If you don't think that @HillaryClinton or the people around her, many of whom were brilliant & socially conscious POC, didn't know of or understand the data you're referencing then you know nothing of HRC.

You certainly don't seem to recall the finer details of 2016 and, despite your claims to understand the particular pressures she was under, refuse to give those pressures their proper due.

In an election filled with fake news & populist hyperbole from the far right & left..

I totally disagree.

I've listened to @HillaryClinton speak passionately about race for three decades.

Race and racism were a central focus of her 2016 campaign.

She didn't speak about it just every once in awhile @amikegreen, she spoke about it every single day of the campaign.

In fact, race and criminal justice was the topic of her first policy paper for the campaign, which she presented in April 2015.

Thought I’d give you a quick round up of where we are with the Public Services Card scheme. Because these things go in months or years long arcs, it can be helpful to take stock. #PSC
The #PSC project sees the Dept of Social Protection (DEASP) acting as joint Data Controller with the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform (DPER) over a database of citizen’s identity, called the Single Customer View.

The PSC is the card attached to that database.
At some point in the past, DPER decided it wanted a single ID card and database which would be used throughout the public service to gain access to services- and they preferred to call it a “Public Services Card”, instead of, you know, an ID Card.

Something that really sucks about having an invisible disability or illness is people automatically expect you to be able to everything an able-bodied person can. And then they’re surprised when you can’t...

(This is gonna be a thread, by the way...)
And when they (inevitably) say, “But you don’t look ill/disabled/etc” it feels like they’re questioning the validity of our illnesses and disabilities, like they don’t believe us because they can’t see how someone could have an invisible condition.
I have a loose spine due to Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. I can’t lift medium or heavy items.
One time, I was in a supermarket, about to pay. I had items in a wheelie basket, and the lady at the checkout told me to lift the basket onto her counter.

My supervising professor is a White Wmn. In countless private meetings w her, she would snap at me, even slam her laptop shut in response to me simply asking a question to better understand what she wanted me to do. Apparently, asking a White Woman teacher to teach is tew much.
I endured this treatment from her for over a year, usually responding by not responding at all. Just quietly saying "okay", looking down, and generally trying to appease the beast.

Until one day she went there. IN A LAB MEETING. IN FRONT OF MY PEERS.

*whispers* The point of "Challenge Day" isn't that might makes right, it is a ritual that blends ancient tradition with modern consensus building to ensure that the otherwise hereditary monarch of Wakanda must represents all of its people.
If every single tribe had challenged T'Challa but then lost, this wouldn't prove him a strong leader, it would prove he's a weak one and maybe he'd rethink a thing or two. A wise king would then offer an olive branch, maybe expand the role of the council formally or informally.
That every tribe present at the initial asking declines to offer a challenge is not a sign that they don't have anyone strong enough to beat T'Challa, but that they endorse his leadership.

That M'Baku challenges is because he doesn't and he wants it on record in an indelible way

1) It was under a year ago that @GenFlynn called up the then-Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak to discuss the sanctions the Obama admin. had imposed the previous day.
2) As a private citizen soon to be then President-Elect Donald Trump's top national security advisor, Flynn was making this call on an unsecured line.
3) A 33 year veteran of the international & military spy wars, Flynn well knew every phone call Kislyak receives is carefully monitored, recorded and transcripted by the US intelligence community.
