This won't go down well with my remainer followers, but Nick Boles's brexit plan has more going for it than many of them have so far thought. 1/
2/ The detail is full of nonsense, but that isn't the point. It shouldn't be taken literally but might be worth taking a little more seriously
3/ It's a call to change strategy. Rather than leave the EU at once, it proposes leaving by degrees.
4/ This has definite advantage for the UK as its economy would have time to adapt and minimise the Brexit shock.
5/ The problem is it can't succeed (even if the nonsense is removed) unless the EU choose to believe that the plan to leave the EEA is insincere
6/ It's important for them that Britain pay the price for what they consider its folly, or as they would put it, face the consequences of its own actions.
7/ It's probably not a strategy that could work for this UK administration, but a different less confrontational one, could adopt elements of it as part of a reset. ENDS
