The prosecutor Republicans brought on to create distance from this farce criticized the process herself as she concluded her questioning.

Kavanaugh, with anger in his voice: "This confirmation process has become a national disgrace."
Kavanaugh told the senators that his mom was the local prosecutor when he was in high school.
That's when the alleged assault occurred.
It's a reminder of the privileged position he held back then & another reason Dr. Ford might have been reluctant to come forward.
Kavanaugh's attacks on Democrats, Democratic groups and his mention of "revenge on behalf of the Clintons" seem in contrast to his promise of judicial independence.
KAVANAUGH: Dr. Ford's claim is not only uncorroborated, it is refuted.
Except, Ford's friend Leland Keyser did not refute Ford's story, she simply said she did not remember it. Keyser went to trouble to make that point clear later.
