A modest proposal to disambiguate these terms:
Breach: data negligently unsecured
Hack: unsecured data attacked
Leak: unsecured user data exhaust
So in this proposed framework, this Happy Birthday Video View As thing that still needs a name is hacking. But Cambridge Analytica was a leak. And so then Deep Root Analytics was a breach because there’s no known evidence of its use.

Court cannot quash result of the ref bc it was not legally binding. Claimants seek declaration result is invalid bc of breach of spending &fraud. Gov are treating something which was advisory as binding. Ct plays essential role in looking at process which led to this result.

I tend to be very skeptical of tool primacy/platform thinking, but I've come to the conclusion that a very specific toolset would be useful in government:

a rapid prototyping tech stack, pre-cleared for security, that allows for build-to-learn service design experiments
Let me explain: I believe very much in the whole lean startup idea of "the most learning comes from serving 10 users with a real thing"

And this is an area where the govt bottleneck is not deep systems stuff (eg org behavior) but literally no whitelisted prototyping tools.
What would this look like:
- PaaS style hosting meeting security standards (eg @clouddotgov from @18f)
- Prototyping tools that minimally-technical users can configure to create full user flows (eg @usds us-forms kit) — think Typeform, Twilio Studio kind of stuff

1.The US still under attack. We think of the 2016 Russian attack as if it were an isolated event. With @FoxNews and its parade of propagandists assistance a large number of Americans are convinced the Russian attack it didn't happen or, if it did, @realDonaldTrump had no role.
2. At this very moment Kremlin backed accounts are propping up the @Trump administration, the @GOP and its goal to further divide America. Every time you see the #MAGA hashtag with an American flag displaying account on @Twitter, the odds are, more likely than not, it's Russian.

I see the "I'm blocking everyone who is FBPE but attacks Corbyn" type hasn't blocked me. So I guess his word is as good as his messiah's.

However, let me be clear. I do not trust JC. This doesn't make me a Tory. Or a dreaded Blairite. It means I have my own opinion.
I actually welcomed St Jeremy's ascension initially. I, like many, truly believed here was a chance to shake up the corrupt, part before country, backstabbing, lying, opportunism I saw politics as being in this country.

I wanted to believe, and although concerned, I did.
I wasn't convinced his second hand suit look would win over the electorate, and I worried that without having that appeal to the masses he would stay a fairly minor figure in a major role. But I wanted him to have mass appeal, because I want a government that cares about people.
