I'm still processing what I heard and saw at #mapcamp #map18 ... everything was on a scale I hadn't expected. I mean when you're listening to people talk about mapping saving lives and the UN talk mapping, it's ... #mindblown -
and on top of this you have mapping used in food safety (@JuliePierce77 presentation was glorious) - ... ok, saving lives, UN, Gov regulation and safety ...
and we switch gears into the world of startups with @yoditstanton bringing the house down with maps and collaboration - ...
... and then @drewfirment (Capital One, @acloudguru) explaining how maps are changing the future of business - ..
... then add a good pinch of @liammax explaining how Maps have helped changed UK Gov with the odd throwaway line of a few hundred million here or there - ...
... bring in a wondrous exploration of education with maps by @JanetHughes - ... ok, saving lives, food, UN, Gov, millions if not billions, startups, banks, education ...
... oh, you might as well throw in NHS, Midwifery, National Archives - bloody hell, @Rachel0404 is a legend - ... and then ...
... but why stop, let's go smart cities and standards with the incredible @jacquitaylorfb who sneaks in a map when no-one is expecting - ...
... and then the glorious @MrsDHW performs a tour de force with mapping at the Co-Op ... this was just amazing - ...
... and then @SalFreudenberg blows my cognitive load with a breathtaking exploration of mapping, collaboration and cognitive load ... I think this is the point I started to just mumble incoherently -
... after which @coderinheels and the panel just ... well, how many times can I say awesome?
I really don't know what to say. I thought #mapcamp in 2017 was magical but 2018 has blown my mind. I am fearful of trying to organise 2019 ... how on earth are we going to do better than this?

For now, I'm just going to put those fears aside and enjoy a moment of what was.
However, with all that said ... the one thing which burns my mind more than anything else is @GoAgileGov statement that mapping saved lives - ... what to say other than ... I don't have words.
