In the aftermath, many are consumed by the will to counter-attack, driven by the corrosive fuel of ressentiment. In his analysis @DavidAFrench steps back and offers a rare (and therefore helpful) summary of the contrasting cultural/legal/moral outlooks of Redworld and Blueworld.
Whether or not you agree with his analysis, we need more of this. Reflection more than reaction. Mutual comprehension (if amidst disagreement) more than mutual aggression. For the healing of this profound cultural/moral divide. And I wish followers of Christ could lead the way.
