The thing is... People who call certain Christians "(cultural) Marxists," "leftists," "progressives," "liberals," and other colorful labels don't care about whether the identification is historically, philosophically, contextually, or in any other way accurate, fitting, or true.
The point of bullying tactics and propaganda is to create fear, distrust, suspicion, and aversion by any means possible. Bullies and power hungry individuals take advantage of their platform and connections, the lack of fact checking, echo chamber/tribal tendencies, and close...
enough to the truth conjectures or minutely plausible correlations to other-ize and demonize their targets. Reasoning, logic, and endless essays illustrating the folly of illegitimately labeling people don't do anything because a bully isn't relying on facts and arguments.
Bullies know that they can pass a near truth around the internet 10 times faster than a whole truth. By the time the whole truth begins to spread, the damage is already done. Reputations are marred, mistrust and suspicion have festered, and peer pressure sociological factors...
can now run wild and create a mob aversion to people who have received a mark of "liberalism" and the like.
If you want to make real change - call out the bullies and catch them in their act. Create a new status quo that is intolerant towards any form of bullying - especially when it's done toward those you may even theologically disagree with. Take shots for standing with those...
who are bullied - again, even though you may fundamentally disagree with them.

"They will know we are Christians by our love." Bullying of any form has no place in the kingdom of God.
