Here's an interesting ADHD Event I will tell you more about when I'm back from getting food: I'm trying to configure a Samsung phone system and it has had me completely paralyzed for two days
So, Samsung Officeserv 7200; horrible, awful phone system. Miserable. The config interface is like looking into the devil's heart.
I hooked it up yesterday afternoon, been fighting with it ever since. Here's the first thing it does that kills me: The configuration interface is dog-slow. It takes 8-16 seconds to load each page.
It also times out my login session in like under five minutes. It's absurd, and typical for this kind of garbage.
ADHD makes it impossible to sit and wait for anything. 8 seconds of just staring at a spinning page is like nails on a chalkboard, i HAVE to look away. By the time I look back, it's either been 45 seconds or 15 minutes.
In the former, I can't remember what the fuck I was doing. This results in a shitload of repeated trips to the same section since, by the time it loaded the last time I looked at it, I'd forgotten what I was looking FOR
In the latter, I get logged out and have to wait 45 seconds to see the page again, which leads to ANOTHER look away and forgetting what i was doing even harder.
today I hooked up a phone to this system finally and tried to place a call. it failed, ok, whatever. well, now the FXO line card relays are tripping on and off every four seconds. I have NO IDEA WHY.
and I had to put headphones on because honestly? I don't have time to deal with this, but the way my brain works, EVERY SINGLE TIME it clicks I immediately go "OH THE FXO TRUNKS, I NEED T"
Honestly, it's not even that I go "I NEED TO", it's just that I go "OH THE FXO TRUNKS." It's not even an imperative to DO anything, but every single click destroys my train of thought completely.
