Let's talk about the purported enthusiasm gap facing Republican House members up for election this season. I've stated before that I don't have sufficient, or high caliber, trust-worthy data upon which to base a proper analysis. There is, however, indirect data we can tease...
It really just hit me over yesterday and this morning. We know the media lies and we know that the ONLY thing the Democrats have right now is their rage, rage against the dark night of their previous hellacious defeat. How is this data?
Well of course! They're all lying. Now, what is the basis of their lie, their psychological operation right now, their psyop? The answer couldn't be simpler. Money. They have - especially in certain key races - out raised the Republican establishment's fundraising.
And what are politicians most enthusiastic about? Money, of course! So, here we see the Republican establishment doing everything but completely conceding defeat in the House 3 weeks in advance of the election. Talk about moral bankruptcy. Sheesh.
But what did we learn in 2016? First, the polls are all wrong, so to the degree that polling is involved in this enthusiasm gap assessment, it's pure malarkey. Second, we learned that polls are available at price. What do you want the poll to say? Done, just pay up.
Third, and most important of all, and who'd have thunk?, in politics truth trumps money. In 2016 we had the truth on our side - the #MAGA side - and we cleaned up. And...and this should probably be fourth...all the billions of extra dollars the lying side had was of no avail.
Fifth, we learned clearly that the Republican establishment was far, far closer to the Democrat party than they were to the American people. Of course, we really did know that long before. Personally, I only learned it in 2010, following our successful midterm, and remember...
Sixth, it was our own newly turned Republican House that failed to stop Obamacare. We had the power in 2010 and 2011 to stop Obamacare dead in its tracks, but rather than obstruct this illegal grab for power, this move into socialism, our people just laid down.
So seventh, where does that leave us now? Well, again, don't believe a word you hear from the gloom and doom, certainty crowd. They know precisely what we know, which ain't much. They're guessing, spinning and lying, lying and lying some more. Most important, beyond all else...
We must rally. And we can. @realDonaldTrump is rallying us, and he and we are rocking the house. But, personally now, we must each rally our faith, hope and fighting will, the spirit of victory. Actually, that brings me to...
Eighth, we must be clear, truly clear. This is essentially their last chance to derail us. If we give @realDonaldTrump the cover he needs, if we protect his flank and give him R & R, both houses of congress still Republican, there will be no stopping him.
There will be no stopping us, the #MAGA movement! How much is at stake, what's in play for the swamp dwellers and their minions? Trillions of dollars are in play. The very future and destiny of the life they love on the basis of stealing the resource that we provide.
Let me say it again. If we win - simply defined as Republican majorities protected in both houses - we will have crested the greatest obstacle we'll ever face. Let that sink in. And that brings me to...
Ninth, and last, but what if we lose? If we do, then we'll have to admit that we deserved to lose. This is ours to hold. If we fail, it will not be the other side that won, it will be us that lost. That's really important.
If we give this up, we will then have two years to lick our wounds, face our failure, dust ourselves off and gear up to come back fighting. Or not. Maybe we're just a flash in the historic pan, the last gasp of an America that's already given up the ghost.
But that's not my call. For what it's worth, I don't believe we're going to lose. Yet, if I'm wrong - and I really may be! - then in the following two years we will have the time to do the right thing, and to come back ready, ready as we've never been before, for 2020.
But that's enough of that. Let's fight right here, right now. Let's win. Let's provide @realDonaldTrump the cover on his flanks that he deserves and that our movement requires. America is watching us, as is the world. Do we have what it takes? Ask that, and answer yes.
